Go Heritage Event.
As part of their Go Heritage series of events, the council have worked with the community centre to put on an event to celebrate the fact that Thringstone's community centre is the oldest in the country.
This is taking place on 9 September between 12 noon and 3pm. There will be various exhibitions to have a look at, all showing what the centre has provided for the village over the last 100 years.
The whole of the centre will be open for people to have a look round, see the facilities, look at the rooms that are available to hire, and see just what this fantastic building has to offer, not only Thringstone but surrounding villages as originally intended by Charles Booth who bought it from Louisa White over 100 years ago.
